Spam Must Die!

Fight Back! Send stuff back to the companies that clog your mailbox. Email me: mhughes @ wpidalamar.com what you've sent. Lets show them that mass mailing are not a viable way of conducting business.

Every other day of my life I get at least one application for a credit card. Capital One is one of the worst offenders, so I happily send the business reply envelopes back to them. The only catch is I don't send the application back, I send other stuff.

11/25/2000 - Two more! I put a slice of cheese into one of them, and filled the other with 5 shreded credit card applications.

11/2/2000 - I saved up 6 envelopes, and am sending a new batch of stuff out:
Two of them contain an M&M minis wrapper.
One contains three packets of soy sauce.
One has a sticky note that says "Prof. Cruz" on it
Another has my clipped toe-nails ... yuck!
And the last has every scrap of paper that was on my table
I wonder what these people think when they get this stuff?

So I started to have fun and sent back:
The application ripped up
Toenail Clippings!
Nothing (empty envelope)

And then someone told me that they have to pay the postage on whatever is sent back, so I decided to step up the effort. I sent:
Pennies - $1.40 worth
Circuit Boards - Being the computer geek I am, I have countless worthless circuit boards laying around my apartment. If they don't fit in the envelope, I fold them!

I'm now planning on sending these:
Porno
A Brick
Moldy Bread ... or is it against the law to mail food?
The application for a different company (blank)
Bits of trash
