Bachelors of Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
Auburn High School: 1993-1997
High School Honors program at Auburn High School.
Paid Work Experience:
Guardian Industries: 1997-Current:
Created a full-featured labor tracking system. This system uses Smart cards, and is able to drive payroll and ABC costing of products. The system was written in Borland Delphi 4, and uses the advantage database server. The system features approval cycle and editing modules to ensure accurate data.
Designed and implemented a program to interface with an industrial frame bending machine from Lisec International. This program pulled data from the business system and replaced the manual programming of the machine for each new frame size or thickness.
Created a system to work with hand held radio frequency (RF) data collection devices from Intermec. This system is easily extensible for new functions, and is currently used for various production applications. This system has since been sent for use at other Guardian plants.
Designed and implemented a program to optimize the bed utilization of a batch tempering furnace. This program reads in a work schedule and produces a graphical view of an optimal bed utilization.
Created a production tracking system that ran off of bar coded inventory. This system was used to determine efficiencies, yield, and run rates among other things. The system was written in Microsoft Visual Basic and utilized a MS SQL server.
Provided support for Novell Netware Servers, a Windows NT server, a Lotus Notes server, a linux server, and for approximately 60 Windows 95 and Windows NT workstations
Supported legacy XBase/Clipper applications. Wrote various database applications for XBase and SQL databases.
Defiance WebWorks: 2000-2001
Started a company called Defiance WebWorks and created the web site shoppingcow.com. Shoppingcow.com is a complete online ecommerce web site written from scratch. The site allows multiple vendors to dynamically control their inventory, accept orders, and ship orders. The system is written in Perl that interfaces with a mySql database server on an Apache web server that runs on BSDI and was developed on Red Hat Linux. The site can be found at www.shoppingcow.com . Also dealt with all business related functions for the new company, including accounting, taxes, and support for customers and vendors.
Sieman and Johnson: 1997-1999:
Cabled and installed small Ethernet LAN at local engineering firm. Installed a Windows NT 4.0 server, and network printers. Provided support and maintenance when needed.
Auburn Public Schools: 1996-1997:
Assisted in the installation of district wide network. This consisted of ethernet in 5 schools, with a Cable WAN between them.
Assisted in the administration of the Windows NT server.
Created the school district web site.
